In 2002, New York State Department of Health recognized Open Door for outstanding outreach efforts for women, infants, and children.
- In 2001, Open Door received full accreditation from the Joint Commission
for Accreditation of Health Organizations - the leading accreditation organization
in its field.
- In 1997 Open Door's cost-effective care of Medicaid patients was cited in
a national medical journal as a way to reduce government spending for medical
services.
